UFC on FOX 15 Results: Means Makes Sullivan Tap Out to Arm Triangle
George Sullivan was completely outclassed tonight in his fight against Tim Means in the final UFC Fight Pass preliminary bout of the night.
Sullivan ran into the octagon amped to be fighting in front of his hometown crowd. He bounced on his toes and was very active at the start of the fight— maybe a little too active.
His wild strikes made it easy for Means to cut off his attacks with counter knees and elbows. Sullivan was gassed by the start of the second round due to a mixture of his overactive style and Means’ dominance.
Means stuck to the center of the octagon and let Sullivan do all of his work for him. Sullivan left holes open in his game and Means simply picked him apart because of it. Sullivan was almost finished at the end of the second round, but he was save by the horn.
Means ended up finishing the bout late in the third round when he trapped Sullivan in the arm triangle. By the time the hold was locked in, Sullivan had no fight left in him and was forced to tap out.
