UFC on FOX 17 Results: Francis Ngannou KO’s Luis Henrique in Round 2

A heavyweight bout between promotional newcomers Luis Henrique (8-2 MMA) and Francis Ngannou (6-1 MMA) kicked off the UFC on FOX 17 prelims on UFC Fight Pass.

Francis Ngannou lands a heavy leg kick to start. A second leg kick lands for Ngannou but Luis Henrique uses the strike to earn a takedown. Henrique begins working from full guard and landing some decent strikes from the position. Luis is able to move in to half guard but after a lack of action the referee decides to stand them up. Ngannou would land a couple of solid right hands to close out round one.

Round two begins and Ngannou is loading up big shots. Henrique dives under Ngannou’s bombs and shoots in for a takedown but is unsuccessful. The heavyweights begin battling against the cage. Ngannou lands a solid combination and follows that up with a huge left uppercut. The strike lands flush on he chin of Henrique who crashes to the canvas. This fight is all over!
