UFC on FOX 7 Headed to the HP Pavilion | MMA News
Although the UFC hasn’t announced any officials bouts for the UFC on FOX 7 card, a location has already been selected. To house the 7th installment of the UFC on FOX broadcast, the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California, according to MMAWeekly.com.
This is the third UFC fight card in San Jose in the past three years and was once the main home of the soon to be diminished Strikeforce organization.
The card is expected to happen on April 20th, almost a full three months after the upcoming UFC on FOX 6 card which features the first ever flyweight title defense on its main card.
The FOX cards have experienced some turbulence in its 1 year lifespan as he ratings have hit highs and lows which have in themselves garnered appraise and criticism.
The last Fox card featured a slew of headliners on the four-fight main card including a lightweight title fight. The event made a live gate total of $1.5 million
The UFC hopes to build self-fufiling hype around their free-TV cards in hopes of making them a constant ratings success. With that said, the main event is surely one that will be one to watch and may even hold a title fight.
