UFC Rankings Report: Conor McGregor Soars into P4P List
“UFC 189” and “The Ultimate Fighter: ATT vs. Blackzilians” Finale are both in the books and the rankings received a major facelift.
Conor McGregor ended an amazing night of fights with a performance that won him the UFC Interim Featherweight Championship. As a result of this, McGregor has hopped above Mendes and Edgar as the #1 ranked fighter in the division. McGregor also made his way into the pound for pound rankings at spot #14.
Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson’s spinning heel kicks placed him inside the top ten of the welterweight rankings despite not even being ranked last week! Jake Ellenberger dropped several spots to #12.
Gilbert Melendez has been removed from the rankings after it was confirmed that he failed his post-fight drug test at UFC 188. Everybody in the lightweight division moved up a spot due to the removal of the former Strikeforce champion. Nate Diaz made his return to the lightweight rankings.
