UFC Rankings Report: Romero Now Among the Elite in Middleweight Rankings
“UFC Fight Night 70” has come and gone and we saw some major shifts in the middleweight division! Yoel Romero’s dominant victory over Lyoto Machida propelled him into the top five of the middleweight division.
With Romero moving up to the third spot, this knocked Vitor Belfort and Lyoto Machida down a peg. Machida remains in the top five, splitting the spot with former UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva.
Michael Bisping and his next opponent Thales Leites swapped spots as Bisping is now ranked directly above him at #9.
The women of the strawweight division saw some shifts as well. The popular Paige VanZant stepped above #8 ranked Maryna Moroz to earn the #7 spot in the division. Randa Markos and Tecia Torres is all that’s between VanZant and a top-five spot, now.
