UFC Strawweight Thinks VanZant Couldn’t Beat Top 5 Fighter
Paige VanZant is riding an amazing wave of momentum off her last octagon victory on FOX. While fans are clamoring for VanZant to get a shot at the title, fellow UFC strawweight contender Claudia Gadelha doesn’t think she has what it takes to beat a top five woman!
During a recent appearance with Brazilian media, Gadelha claimed, “She’s aggressive and has a good cardio, but still has a lot to learn.” She continued, “I don’t think you can put her against the lions yet. If you put her against anyone from the top five, she can’t win. She’s a good fighter, super talented, and the UFC is doing a good marketing on her. She sells well, but still has a lot to learn. She’s too young. She just started in this sport.”
Gadelha does have a point. Paige VanZant made her octagon debut at just twenty years old! VanZant still has a lot of time to grow as a fighter and the fact that she is this good, this young goes to show her potential.
Gadelha concluded, “She’s a beautiful fighter and knows how to sell her image, and that’s good for the UFC,” Gadelha added, “but I guarantee she wouldn’t do well against any top five fighter.”
Does VanZant have what it takes to defeat the likes of Jessica Penne and Joanna Jedrzejczyk?
