Apparently, UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo has had a change in heart when it comes to the upcoming ban on IVs for the use of rehydrating after weigh-ins.

Aldo came out a little while back and slammed the new rule, insisting that he’s still going to use one because they wouldn’t dare cancel his fight with Conor McGregor over the issue. Well, according to Jeff Novitzky, UFC’s athlete health and performance program vice president, Aldo has since apologized for the comments.

That’s what he said on a recent episode of Joe Rogan’s podcast.

Check it out!

“When we were in Brazil a couple of weeks ago, I had a conversation with him about that, and he said it was just one of those days where he was in a certain mood, maybe a little bit joking, maybe a little bit pissed off about something else, and said those things. He said he shouldn’t have and doesn’t believe (that).

“He apologized for doing that, so I felt pretty good after that meeting that he felt that way.”

How do you feel about the new rule, should the fighters be forced to rehydrate another way?
