UFN 71 Results: Kevin Lee Forces Moontasri To Tap In Round 1

Kevin Lee and James Moontasri entered the octagon for the second fight of the main card.

Both fighters started with kicks. Lee connected with a quick left hand. Both fighters throw jumping kicks, but miss. Moontasri lands a few nice kicks to the leg and to the body of Lee. Then, both fighters get poked in the eye. The fight resumes and both fighters start throwing. Lee gets ahold of Moontasri and gets him down to the mat. Lee gets to the back and locks up a body triangle.

After some positioning, Lee gets the rear-naked choke locked in tight. Moontasri tried to defend but he wasn’t going to get out of it. He was forced to tap.

RESULT: Lee wins via submission (RNC) at 2:56 of round 1
