UFN 75 Results: Kyoji Horiguchi Looks Great, Picks Camus Apart To Earn UD Win

By BJPENN.COM News - September 26, 2015

Chico Camus and Kyoji Horiguchi faced off at UFC Fight Night: Japan.

In the first round Camus continually landed nice punches. Camus also found a home for his leg kicks though out the round. The story was really that Camus was doing well, finding his timing, but the speed of Horiguchi still seemed to maybe be too much. Horiguchi connected with a nice punch out of a break.

Camus got caught right at the start of the second round, but survived. Horiguchi’s speed was really a factor. He started to really let loose in the second, finding his range and landing consistently. Camus just barely missed with a big right hand. Horiguchi just seemed to have more variety to his striking, along with the fact that he threw a larger volume of strikes, but still, Camus was game.

The third was another dominant performance for Horiguchi. Yes, Camus stayed in the fight but it was clear who was winning. Horiguchi was just too fast, too unpredictable with his striking and movement. It was a great performance for the former title challenger, Horiguchi. At the end of the third Horguchi looked to have Camus hurt. He tried to move in for a finish but Camus fired back with his own shots. Fight over, Horiguchi looked good.

RESULT: Kyoji Horiguchi def. Chico Camus via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)
