UFN 81 Results: Francimar Barroso defeats Elvis Mutapcic via decision

A light heavyweight bout between Francimar Barroso (18-4 MMA) and Elvis Mutapcic (15-4 MMA) kicked off the ‘UFC Fight Night 81’ prelims tonight in Boston.

Barroso opens up with a big overhand right to start. Barroso switches his stance. Mutapcic misses with a front kick. Barroso lands a good left hand. Barroso slips a punch and brings the fight to the ground. Mutapcic landing elbows from his back. Right hands to the body for Barroso. The round ends with Barroso in top position.

Barosso opens round two with a solid leg kick. Elvis is pressing forward but Barroso is countering well. Barroso scores with a left and then a right hand. Barroso shoots for the takedown but it is not there. The Brazilian was able to land some decent punches before the end of the round.

Barroso opens round three by shooting in for a takedown but misses. Elvis lands a sneaky left hand. Good jab from Barroso. Both men are beginning to lets their hands go. Nice knee from Elvis. He’s looking to push the pace on Barroso. Good left hand from Elvis. Barroso fires a combo but misses. Elvis is pressing forward and lands a lead uppercut. One minute left and Mutapicic likely needs the finish. Elvis with a high kick and punches to finish. The bell sounds and we are off to the judges scorecards.
