Check out this video from the past for this #TBT. Ariel Helwani interviews UFC President Dana White and the conversation topic gets on the past Strikeforce promotion. White plays down some of the Strikeforce fights and fighters at the time but obviously loved them buying the promotion and roster of fighters back in 2011.

Both Strikeforce and the UFC knew of the high talent levels of the Strikeforce fighters. Former Strikeforce fighters now account for four of the eight men’s champions in the UFC. When you take into consideration the fact that Strikeforce only had five men’s divisions, it comes down to former Strikeforce fighters owning four championship belts of the five divisions from lightweight to heavyweight.

Robbie Lawler, Luke Rockhold, Daniel Cormier, and Fabricio Werdum were all Strikeforce fighters and are now sitting on the top of the MMA world as champions in their respective divisions in the UFC. Amazing to see the progression!
