WATCH! Training partner Gunnar Nelson says Conor McGregor is losing his mind every day

By Russell Ess - December 10, 2015

A training partner of Conor McGregor, Gunnar Nelson has his own fight to obsess over at UFC 194, facing Demian Maia. However, with much of the media focus on his teammate, Nelson was still asked about McGregor who is fighting for the featherweight championship on the same card at UFC 194.

When asked about Mcgregor’s mindset, Nelson said Conor McGregor is losing his mind every day, and it is nothing new. “That is how Conor has always been,” Nelson said to Ariel Helwani of MMA Fighting. “I think we all know that.”

Nelson takes a much more different approach in PR than McGregor and is will look to let his fighting do the talking with Demian Maia. Nelson is looking to climb up the rankings in the welterweight division to a title shot like his teammate has done in the featherweight division.

Nelson says that he hopes the fight with Maia goes to the ground. With the two jiu-jitsu wizards having their numerous accolades in sport jiu-jitsu, fans are excited to see what will happen when the two hit the mat, and Nelson is looking forward to it.
