“I’ve been dreaming about this fight with Anderson Silva since I started MMA.
He makes you pay for any mistakes you make. He’s opportunistic. Probably his biggest threat is his confidence. You make one mistake…he’s in there to win, and so I am. He’s a great champion for a reason, but he knows I’m a really mad matchup and that I’m a tougher opponent than some people might understand.
I’m a pressure based fighter. I’m going to be walking forward, using my length, and mixing it up between my takedowns and my punches. You know, I’m not going to be going backwards too much.
He’d be a fool not to respect me as a fighter. On July 6th, when we step into that cage, he’s going to have respect for me.”
