Chris Weidman interview

The debate will most likely never end. Boxing vs. MMA, which is better?

It’s really just a matter of preference. If you ask one UFC champion he says boxing isn’t even fighting and that MMA is already bigger and better.

UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman recently talked on The Breakfast Club radio show about the debate and had some interesting opinions, check it out.

“Well, I feel like that’s all you have though (Mayweather/Pacquiao). Who else is there? I feel like MMA already is bigger besides Mayweather and Pacquiao. Let’s get something straight – boxing is not fighting, it’s just one element of fighting. It’s like saying wrestling is fighting. It’s like saying, you know, karate is fighting. The UFC is exactly what you’re allowed to do on the streets without bringing any weapons into the game. It’s pretty much is real as it gets. Boxing is just throwing hands, it’s really just not fighting.”

What do you think of Weidman’s comments? Should boxing even be compared to MMA?
