Weidman On Rockhold: ‘He’s Good Looking, I’ll Give Him That’
Chris Weidman successfully defended his UFC Middleweight Championship against Vitor Belfort at UFC 187 in May, but he already has his next challenger in his sights.
Dana White recently announced that Luke Rockhold was next in line for a shot at the gold and the challenger has an impressive track record, to say the least. Rockhold is coming fresh off a dominant victory over Lyoto Machida at “UFC on Fox: Machida vs. Rockhold” in April and did what Weidman couldn’t: finish “The Dragon”.
So, what is the first thing Weidman notices when he looks at an elite fighter like Rockhold? His dashing good looks, of course.
“He’s good looking. I’ll give him that,” Weidman told the media during a recent scrum at “UFC 188”. “He’s well-rounded. It doesn’t matter. Any of these guys at my weight— I’m just running through everybody.”
Weidman continued, “He can beat me at everything? He can’t beat me at jiu-jitsu, he can’t beat me at stand-up, and he can’t beat me at wrestling.”
Do you think Luke Rockhold will be the one to dethrone Chris Weidman, or will Weidman walk out with his championship when they fight?
