White: ‘A Third Loss To Rousey is A Career-Killer For Tate’
Miesha Tate was told she would be the next title challenger to take on Ronda Rousey after her win over Jessica Eye. Then, after Rousey beat Bethe Correia, Dana White said she would in fact get the next shot.
Then Holly Holm got the title shot. Rousey announced the news on a morning show and Tate had no idea until she woke up and heard the news.
White said after the announcement that the decision was made to do Holm instead of Tate because Tate has already loss to Rousey twice.
On a recent episode of UFC Tonight, White again reiterated the decision and said that Tate losing to Rousey a third time would be a ‘career-killer.’
