White: Issues In Boston All Cleared Up, UFC on FS 1 Event Will Go On As Planned

“You know, when it gets down to the fact, do you want to change the card? You know, do you want to move fights around and switch fights?. When that starts happening, it’s like ‘Yeah, maybe we can’t do the fight here.’ But, you know, we figured it out… No. We ended up getting everything straightened out. The fights will happen. The card will be great. It’s going to be good. There’s always something. It literally never ends. There’s always something, something that pops up or whatever. We’re pretty used to dealing with this stuff.”

If you missed it, Visa issues and the ability to work in Boston, for the UFC’s debut on Fox Sports 1, almost caused the UFC’s planned event to come apart at the seams. The state of Boston was at one-point requiring all international fighters to have a U.S. social security number in order to compete under their jurisdiction.

In this recent interview with The Boston Herald, Dana White, revealed that these issues have been solved and the fight will go on as planned.
