WSOF Terminates Contract With ‘White Pride’ Tattooed Fighter

This Past Saturday, before UFC 175, WSOF 11 took place on NBC. During the prelims of that card, Dustin Holyko fought, and lost, to Neiman Gracie in the second round via submission. However, the most interesting thing about the bout occurred several days after it took place when BloodyElbow’s Brent Brookhouse began doing research on Holyko’s Nazi “SS” lightning bolt tattoos on his back, as well as his “White Pride” tattoo.

Brent’s research led him to the discovery that Holyko had been arrested many times, going all the way back to 2005 for “disorderly intoxication”, with the most recent being for “domestic battery by strangulation” in 2013. With a whopping total of 16 arrests which also include animal cruelty, DUI, and “obstruction of an officer without violence” among the charges listed above, it’s safe to say the World Series Of Fighting should have known about Holyko’s colorful past.

Yesterday the WSOF announced via Sherdog.com that they were cutting ties with Holyko, and that they were unaware of his violent past, or his neo-nazi tattoos.

“Honestly, we were not aware of Dustin Holyko’s criminal record or any potentially offensive tattoos prior to him competing at WSOF 11. He was licensed by the Florida commission prior to the fight, and it was his third professional fight under their jurisdiction. That said, with the information that has since come to light, we immediately elected to terminate our relationship with Mr. Holyko.”
