Yves Edwards vs Spencer Fisher Announced For UFC On Fox 8
The UFC on Fox 8 card is starting to bulk up with the latest addition being an exciting lightweight bout between 36 year-old UFC veterans Yves Edwards and Spencer Fisher.
Edwards (42-19-1) is looking to rebound from a close split decision loss to Isaac Vallie-Flagg at UFC 156. He is 2-3 in his last five appearances in the Octagon, and will look to use his “Thugjitsu” to put himself back in the win column. The Bahamian has fought for UFC, PRIDE, WEC, Strikeforce, Bellator, and EliteXC in his sixteen year professional MMA career.
Spencer Fisher (24-9) is also looking to get himself back in the win column after three consecutive losses and a disappointing 1-5 record in his last six. His last fight was a unanimous decision loss to Sam Stout in an electrifying Fight Of The Night performance in 2012. Spencer had been fighting in the UFC Octagon since October of 2005 where he made an impressive debut submission win against Thiago Alves in the welterweight division.
UFC on Fox 8 takes place on Saturday, July 27 at the KeyArena in Seattle, Washington.
