12 year old Momo made MMA headlines earlier this year when it was announced that she would be making her MMA debut against a woman double her age. While the fight was criticized by many for pitting a child against a full-grown woman, on May 20th Momo stepped into the ring against 24-year old Momoko Yamasaki, and delivered a spectacular submission win as she choked her opponent out cold.
While no videos of the fight were immediately available, photos emerged of the 12-year old’s impressive win. Now however video footage has surfaced of Momo’s win.
While Momo was certainly the youngest fighter on the card, 16 year old Mizuki Furuse also picked up an impressive KO over a much older opponent as well.
