VIDEO | Bellator fighter attempts to pull shady trick during weigh-ins, gets caught

Friday morning in New York, the fighters of this weekend’s Bellator NYC pay-per view hit the scales in anticipation of their fights this weekend.
When Sergio Da Silva weighed in at 137.6 pounds for his scheduled fight against Matt Rizzo, who weighed-in at 133.6 pounds, he appeared to attempt to hang his foot off the edge of the scale in an attempt to not fully apply his weight to the scale.
Ariel Helwani caught the entire incident on video, as the commission made Da Silva weigh-in again, as he looked to hold one foot slightly off the scale in an attempt to once again not fully apply his weight to the scale.
The New York State Athletic Commission likely learned from their recent weigh-in fiasco involving UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier back in April, when Cormier was caught on camera pressing on the privacy towel so as to offset his weight and not have to cut the additional remaining weight.
