VIDEO | Canadian Wing Chun fighter knocks out Vietnamese karate black belt
The martial arts style debate continues to heat up, especially after the challenge between the Chinese MMA coach and Tai Chi master recently went viral.
A new matchup of styles is seen here as Canadian Wing Chun fighter Pierre Francois Flores went over to Hanoi, Vietnam to challenge Vietnamese karate black belt, Doan Bao Chau.
According to a report by Vietnamnet (h/t Bloody Elbow), Flores and Chau set up their friendly challenge online. “Please don’t take this as a challenge but a martial art exchange,” Chau said to Flores while the two were setting up when and where their martial arts challenge would take place.
As seen in the video, Flores is much bigger than Chau and eventually got the better of the karate black belt by ending the fight with a KO.
Flores and Chau were seen having food and drinks together after their match as Flores commended Chau for his “noble attitude and great courage.”
