VIDEO | Throwback to when Diego Sanchez trained with Oscar De La Hoya
Oscar De La Hoya has been very vocal and against the Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor boxing bout.
The former boxing champ has retired from the sport and is now promoting boxing events with his Golden Boy Promotions company. The boxing champion turned promoter has made it clear that he feels the money fight between Mayweather and McGregor will hurt the sport of boxing, even though at one point he tried hyping up a fight with McGregor and Canelo Alvarez, who is under Golden Boy Promotions.
However, not all from the world of boxing believe that the Mayweather and McGregor fight is a bad thing. Fellow boxing promoter Lou DiBella believes that anything bringing people to watch their sport or even bringing attention to it is a good thing.
With all of the boxing vs MMA debates going on, we take a step back in time to when the two worlds came together for fight camps. UFC veteran Diego Sanchez spent some time training with De La Hoya when he was in camp for his own fight against Mayweather, which took place back in 2007.
