Cain Velasquez made his WWE debut last night, appearing shortly after Brock Lesnar won the WWE championship. Brock Lesnar demolished Kofi Kingston in just 10 seconds and secured the WWE championship belt. Brock used his trademark F5 finisher to dethrone the now-former champion, Kingston. However, his moment of happiness was short-lived as Cain Velasquez entered, making his WWE debut. He proceeded to hunt down Lesnar and unload some punches before Brock was eventually able to break free and escape. The pair gave each other the death glare as Lesnar edged closer to the ring again. The narrative implied that this was the first time Lesnar had run away and the first time he was scared.

Though she has been tremendously successful in the pro wrestling organization, her contract could reportedly end after WrestleMania 35 on April 7. “There is a very good chance that Ronda Rousey will be finishing up with WWE at WrestleMania,” Meltzer reported. “If that’s the case, she would likely put Becky Lynch over more likely then Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania, given that would be what the fans would want.

However, any current fan of the promotion knows that there are two brands in the WWE for Rousey to align with. The final part of her signing was announced last night on Monday Night RAW by Kurt Angle that Rousey will be signing her RAW contract at WWE’s Elimination Chamber pay-per-view event later this month. “This is my life now. First priority on my timeline for the next several years. This is not a smash-and-grab; this is not a publicity stunt. When I first met with Triple H, I told him, ‘There are other things I can do with my time that’ll make way more money, but I won’t enjoy nearly as much.’ I don’t have words at all. I’m like — this is the most overstimulated I’ve ever been in my life and I’m just, like I’m still processing it.”

There has been some buzz recently about UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor being in talks with the WWE for a big money offer, perhaps for a match at WrestleMania 34 in April of next year. While the UFC, WWE, and McGregor did not make any official statement on if that was the case, UFC President Dana White shut down those rumors during a recent interview with FOX 5 News. The news anchors brought up to White that there was talk of McGregor going to the WWE to wrestle next year.

If he doesn’t lose too terribly to Mayweather, he can even box Paul Malignaggi. He even could step into a different type of ring and take up pro wrestling. Ronda Rousey didn’t earn any WWE championships, but she did get to execute a judo throw on Triple H while sharing the ring with The Rock. If she wanted to though, she could have probably taken over the pro wrestling world. Current WWE Intercontinental champion, The Miz thinks that McGregor has that type of potential as well. “I love the hype. Huge fan of hype. McGregor can talk the talk, he can walk the walk. But I think he’s going to come up a little short going up against Mayweather. Oh my God, he’d be great [in the WWE]. He’s a mouth, so absolutely. Why not? Sure [I’d wrestle McGregor]. All day. Knock him out in one punch.”
